Writer's Block
while( 1 ){
procrastinate() || get_too_busy() || burnout();

After some months of not really posting anything to my blog, I finally seem to have gotten over whatever was in the way. Part of it was that a few things at work had really been getting me down - however, a few good talks with Brian, David and Monty really made things right again. Sometimes working remotely is really a drag.
I was hoping to get started on the second edition of the PHP Functions Essential reference, but between life getting in my way and my exceptional procrastination skills I am about a year late getting started.
Lately, I have been thinking that this is not really a bad thing. George has been suggesting that maybe we need to rethink the content of the book so that we don't do just rehash the things that other books are doing.
Also, we really do want to sell a boatload of copies of the book and while the last version was popular, it was apparently not quite sexy enough to end up on every PHP programmer's desk.
