Video Stream of "The Devil and the Penguin: The Perils of Free/Open Source Licensing"
For the curious, there is a video stream of a session that I gave at the SoCal Linux Expo. A slice of me preaching to the converted with my shirt-tails hanging out. :)
Of course, there are a few glitches in the presentation. Some long pauses and drawn-out "ums". I state something to the effect of, "…smart things in this session can be attributed to other community leaders…", thus implying that I am a community leader.
Other fun gaffs include saying something like, "The BSD daemon is a benign and harmful symbiotic organism that only mimics the appearance of more dangerous beasties to avoid spurious lawsuits." Of course, I meant to say "harmless"
An interesting side note is that a Sun rep pegged me after the session and mentioned a case of the community hijacking a Sun standard. :)
