$5,701,201 worth of eZ publish code?

I just ran David Wheeler's SLOCCount tool on a copy of eZ publish 3.7.3.
SLOCCount is:
a set of tools for counting physical Source Lines of Code (SLOC) in a large number of languages of a potentially large set of programs.
–from http://www.dwheeler.com/sloccount/

The tool generated a bunch of interesting stats, including an estimated cost to [...]

Machine-readable licensing blocks

One of our recent activities at eZ has been to rework our licensing. While most of the changes have been related to improving the agreements involved (simplifying, internationalizing, improving the legal robustness, etc.) we plan to make some changes to how we attach licensing information to our source code.

TypeMatrix Keyboard

With all of the extra typing and long hours in the last few weeks, I have started getting significant pain in my hands and wrists. (Why am I writing this blog entry then - FIIK :)

So, I finally returned to working at my desk (instead of sitting on the LR couch hunched over my laptop) [...]

Rhode Island and LAMP

Rhode Island put itself on the cutting edge of hot-technology uptake
last year when it became one of the first state governments to get
beyond traditional government conservatism and implement open-source
technology. The gamble is paying off: The bill for the state's rules
and regula-tions database came in at $40,000\227only $6,000 of which was
hardware costs\227and took one consultant four [...]
