Speaking at OSCON 2008
I'm happy to report that I'll be presenting two sessions at OSCON 2008. The first session is called, "Greening the Conference Circuit" and the second is my (now-)usual Age of Literate Machines presentation.
This year, I'll be at OSCON on behalf of the Mozilla Foundation. In addition to attending the main conference, I'll also be attending the FLOSS Foundations meetings, the Open Source Initiative meetings and participating in a revamped version of OSCamp.

Conference Report: OpenMind & MindTrek 2007
OpenMind 2007 and MindTrek 2007 were excellent mid-sized (400+ participants) tech events that brought together a great mix of people - academics, working developers, activists, senior IT management, public servants, industry veterans, innovators and even pirates [0].

Craigslist Foundation Non-Profit Boot Camp
At the last FLOSS Foundations meeting, Brian Behlendorf mentioned the upcoming Craigslist Foundation Non-Profit Boot Camp.
The event is focused on helping people develop the skills and connections needed to help them run a successful non-profit.
Brian attended the event two years ago and found it a good use of his time.

MoFo Weekly Report 2007-07-20
Over the week ending on Friday, July 20th, I worked most on the Internet as a Public Good Symposium, polishing the wiki, chasing around after the other participants, doing background reading, etc. I also spent some time getting ready for Ubuntu Live, OSCON 2007 and the FLOSS Foundations meeting.
