PHP International Con Day 4
Last day of the conference - nothing too exciting :) Gave my talk, spent some time with some MySQL users, had another chat with Werner, chatted with Masoud (one of the conference organizers) for a bit.
The talk (on a small set of MySQL features) was not so great - Georg felt it went well - but that I covered too many topics, Werner felt I was too conservative and I felt that I did a crappy job presenting. Oh well, can't win them all. :I I am interested to see the feedback forms for both sessions - the first session on licensing went much better.
After the last talk, made rough plans to get together with Thies and Werner before I leave Germany, then caught a train back to Stuttgart with Georg.
Gavin Sherry was heading out to Heidelburg, so we were able to catch the same train. Had an interesting discussion on databases (big surprise), C, machine code, Australian food, etc. Stopped in a trainside restaurant and had some very nice Jaegerschnitzel mit Spaetzle. :d :)
