People-watching
One can see so many interesting people just by sitting for a few minutes
in an airport. A constant stream of the busy, the tired, the young and the
old, all wearing every color of skin and type of garb. Today in
particular was interesting for a few different people.
The first was a quixotically beautiful older man who looked like the
self-portrait of a rennaisance artist. The man seemed to be in his
mid-sixties and could not have been over five feet tall. Grey hair that
was eroded from its old shoreline fell near his shoulders in combed
loose waves. A nose that was large and slightly Cyranesque perched in a
face with gentle lines like the contours of landscape that turned around
warm eyes and a broad mouth. He traveled with a dignified, easy limp and
a small white cane with a wrist strap.
Sitting in a seat in front of me on the airplane is an older gentlemen
who looks very much like Rasmus. He has the same sort of slighly-bulldoggish
handsomeness and briskly pleasant manner.
