Polymorph: Zak Greant's Blog

OpenMind 2007

I woke up to a dull-grey dawn. Clouds hung low over Tampere and the last wisps of a fine drizzle were coming down outside. I rushed into my running clothes and took a quick jog down to the lake the that the conference hotel is set against. The morning was perfect running weather - cool and moist, but not too cold or wet. I ran for thirty minutes by the water on paths strewn with leaves and under tall trees wearing their fall colors.

Getting back to the hotel, Monty was still sleeping after working late on slides for his keynote this morning. We took another pass through the slides and then rushed off to breakfast and registration.

At breakfast and registration we caught up with friends and colleagues, donned our badges and settled in for the morning of keynotes.
