OpenMind 2007: Open Source and Standards in the Finnish Public Sector

Lunch has ended, and - after chatting a bit past the start of the sessions with Fredrik Syversen from IKT Norge, Mats Östling from the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions and Hendrik from a company name that I can't currently recall, I've come in late for the Open Source and Standards in the Finnish Public Sector session.

Tommi Karttaaavi from the Finnish Ministry of the Interior is on the stage, expressing a progressive and sane view of Open Source and Standards in the public sector, that they belong in the public sector, especially since tax payers are paying for the related work.

Thankfully (but perhaps a bit boringly) he read directly from his slides. I'll post a link when I can.

He finishes up quickly, letting Carlos take the stage again for his Public Sector Benefits from Open Source presentation.
