Mozilla Foundation Report for 2008 Week 6
This is my Mozilla Foundation report for February 10th to February 16th, 2008. See the weblogs of David Boswell, Frank Hecker and Gerv Markham for additional reports.
Projects for the Week
- Participated in the last day of SCALE 6x on February 10th - see posts tagged with SCALE 6x for my reports. Also did bits of SCALE 6x follow work - such as sending links to attendees I chatted with, responding to general queries, etc.
- Visited the Mozilla Corp. offices. on February 12th. Had good meetings and discussions with Harvey Anderson, John Lilly, Mary Colvig, Paul Kim (and Samantha the Wonder Dog.)
- Worked with Mary on planning for the upcoming Mozilla parties, as well as the Mozilla presence at OSCON.
Events
- FOSDEM 2008 »">FOSDEM 2008: Worked on presentation and a bit of pre-event coordination.
- OSCON 2008: Worked on Mozilla Corporation and Mozilla Foundation attendance of OSCON with Mary Colvig from the corporation.
Misc.
- Light follow up work on grants.
- Migrated my blog over to a new server after my home server tanked.
- RSI troubles flared up. Started a two-week break from typing (well, almost a break). Ordered MacSpeech Dictate voice recognition software - I really hope that it isn't pants. Switched to Dvorak keyboard layout.

- Speaking at FOSDEM 2008 (Feb. 23-24; Brussels, BE)
- Speaking at FOSSNUT: The FOSS Norwegian University Tour (Feb. 25-27; Oslo, NO and Trondheim, NO)
- Attending the Open Source Initiative's March board meeting (Feb. 29-Mar 2; Chicago)
