MoFo Weekly Report 2007-09-14
For the week ending Friday, September 14th, I:
- Continued to neglect my reports on various conferences
- Talked to Malcolm Matson from OPLAN Foundation about possible ways to cooperate
- Traveled to and from San Francisco and got to stay with my totally awesome friends at Meerkat Manor
- Presented The Age of Literate Machines at San Francisco State University’s Software Freedom Day
- Presented The Age of Literate Machines at Mozilla24. Crammed like mad getting ready for the presentation – it was worth the effort.
At the Software Freedom Day on the SFSU campus, I had the pleasure of meeting Sameer Verma (photo) and Christian Einfeldt from the Digital Tipping Point project – I’ve talked to Christian on the phone and corresponded via email, but had never met him in person before.
Mozilla 24 was awesome. I was impressed at how well-coordinated everything was. Kudos to the organization and technology team.
The sessions from the event were recorded and should go online at some point in the near future. I’ll post links in a future post. My favorite photo from the event is posted above.
Next Week
- Make proposal for how the Mozilla Foundation could work with various interesting Free Software/Open Source/Electronic Frontier initiatives in Norway
- Catch up on event reports
Other Mozilla Foundation team reports for this week
- Frank Hecker’s 2007-09-14 report
- David Boswell’s 2007-09-14 report
- Gervase Markham’s 2007-09-14 report
