MoFo Weekly Report 2007-10-26
Traveled to Ljubljana, Slovenia to attend LinuX dan 10:
- Presented the Age of Literate Machines as a keynote
- Chatted with attendees
- Interviewed with local journalist Damjan Franz Lu from NeDeljski (which I think is the major Slovenian daily)
Traveled to Zagreb, Croatia to attend LinuX dan 5.
- Pondered the naming convention for the events
- Presented the Age of Literate Machines as a keynote
- Chatted with attendees - but not as much as I would have liked.
Many thanks to Housing for their great hospitality and the invitation to present at the events.Travelled back to Ljubljana to wait for my next event in Frankfurt.Wrote a brief report on the LinuX dan in Slovenia.Spent one day working with the housing.si team. We shared ideas on running events, discussed the state of FLOSS in Croatia and Slovenia and discussed what LinuX dan attendees expected from the event.Worked on planning changes to my role at the Foundation. Need to work further on this with Frank and the rest of the team.Worked on the event and outreach strategy.Did minor bits of wiki gardening. As an aside, I experimented with pmwiki as a better way to handle my reporting. I really like what I've so far seen.
