Flying to Boston for IS2K7
I'm in the Vancouver airport right now on way to Cambridge, MA for the Berkman Center's Internet & Society 2007 conference. This is my first time attending the event and I'll be going as a Mozilla Foundationist.
I'm quite excited to have been invited. Visiting Harvard and the Berkman Center will be interesting and the conference looks very cool. This year's event focuses on what societal responsibilities the institution of University has to its students and to society as a whole. The structure of the event looks nicely informal and results-oriented - instead of static sessions, the event has participants attending workgroups that focus on specific issues.
The event also provides an opportunity to catch up with a few of the other Internet as a Public Good organizers and participants in order to hash out a few key issues around the event.
