Calling All Vancouver Technical Writers: Uncle eZ Needs You!
Hrm. I am not so sure that "Uncle eZ" is such a good metaphor. However, the first part of the title stands: eZ needs a talented technical editor to work out of our Vancouver office.
Primary responsibilities include editing technical material (such as articles and books). Secondary responsibilities include providing editing services for all departments in the organization.
Qualifications
Candidates should have the following skills and aptitudes:
- Excellent writing and editing skills: We seek someone who can take material (often written by people who are not professional writers and whose first language is not English) and transform it into concise, coherent and engaging text.
- Knowledge of open-source technologies and philosophies: We create open-source products that rely on other open-source technologies in the LAMP stack. We believe strongly in the values of sharing, openness and inclusiveness.
- Good technical abilities: Much of the material you work on will be highly technical. Therefore, an understanding of internet technologies is required.
- Good attitude: Our team is friendly, fast, fun and positive. We are proud of our work and our team; we need someone who fits in with this culture.
- Fluency in French and / or German would be a bonus.

Great idea, Zak! We definitly need someone in this direction. Although Jen did that job excelent job so far, as far as I can tell.

Jen is doing a good job - so much so that she is taking on additional responsibilities. The new writer we hire will work as a part of Jen's team.
