php|works 2006: General Followup

php/db|works ended yesterday in the early afternoon after the most merciful (read brief) closing keynote I have attended (Thanks Marco!) Congratulations to Marco, Sean, Arbi and crew for running a nice community-centric event! It was small, but it was also easy to have nice conversations with many of the attendees and the atmosphere was [...]

php|works: The eZ plan

I will be attending php|architect's php/db|works conference in Toronto from September 13 to 15.
While I am there, my eZ systems plans and priorities are:

Give a good talk
Find leads for our partners (esp. those in Canada, Mexico and the United States of America)
Avoid getting any sicker - I have this irritating chest infection that traveling doesn't [...]

The eZ partner program (a response to Seth Gottlieb's Commercial O/S business post)

In a blog post yesterday, CMS expert and Optarian Seth Gottlieb wonders about the eZ partner program:
> eZ systems has a points program where partners can get points for
> various contributions (answering questions on the forum, attending
> training sessions, submitting sites to the references section, fixing
> bugs, writing documentation, etc.). Points reduce the cost of [...]

SCALE 5x: The SoCal Linux Expo 2007

Ilan Rabinovitch let me know that the SCALE team is getting started on version 5x of the SoCal Linux Expo.
In past years, SCALE has been a great community event - the ratio of promoters to real Linux enthusiasts is low and the attendees are friendly. Also, like most other Linux conferences, attendees have a strong [...]
